Sign in to myMcGill web portal

You need to use your McGill Username (usually formatted as or and your McGill Password to sign in to myMcGill. See View your McGill Username, change your McGill Password for more information.

Students who have dual status (both student and staff McGill Usernames), can sign in using either of their McGill Usernames.

Note: Access to the myMcGill portal is limited to McGill faculty, staff, and active students, as described in the myMcGill (portal) service description.

If you are getting an invalid username and password error message, but already verified that you are using the correct McGill Username and Password by using them to log into another system (such as Outlook Web App), try doing the following:

  1. Close your browser, then reopen it.
  2. Clear your browser's cache.
  3. Close your browser again, reopen it and try logging in to myMcGill again.

If you are still having problems logging in, contact the IT Service Desk.
